Aircraft / Gulfstream G700
The Gulfstream G700 is a large twin engine, long range business jet designed and manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace of Savannah, Georgia USA.
Announced in 2019 and introduced to production in April 2024, the G700 is a stretched version of the iconic Gulfstream G650/G650ER, more popularly known as the GVI or G6. It is about 10 feet / 3 m longer than its predecessor and features newer generation Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines, which has a better thrust-specific fuel consumption rate compared to the G650’s Rolls-Royce BR725s. The G700 also has a high maximum operating speed of Mach 0.935 vs the G650’s Mach 0.925.
A further descendent of the Gulfstream G650, known as the Gulfstream G800, will be the same length as the G650 but will also feature the Pearl 700 series engines and a longer range than both its G650 and G700 siblings. The G800 is currently in the certification process and should enter service in late 2024 or in 2025.
