The Piaggio P.180 Avanti is a twin engine, light business turboprop aircraft designed and produced by Piaggio Aero, an Italian aerospace manufacturer headquartered in Genoa, Italy.

The P.180 Avanti was a clean sheet design that first began in 1979. After several years of development the type was certified in 1990. The Avanti uses a three-surface configuration, having both a small forward wing and a conventional tailplane, as well as its main wing. The main wing spars pass directly behind the passenger cabin area. This design, along with the continuously varying curve of the fuselage cross-section and forward wing, help make the P.180 Avanti one of the fastest turboprop aircraft made, and give it speed and range comparable to light business jets but with up to 70% better fuel efficiency.

The latest variant, the Piaggio P.180 Avanti EVO, was introduced in April 2015. Over 250 Piaggio P.180 Avanti aircraft have been built to date.
