One of three variations of the Boeing 737 Classic aircraft family, the Boeing 737-300 is a narrow-body, medium range twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by Boeing Commercial Airplanes, a division of The Boeing Company. Boeing Commercial Airplanes is headquartered in Renton, Washington USA, while the parent company’s head office is located in Arlington, Virginia USA.
The 737-300 was built only in a passenger configuration, although some were later converted into freighters.
Production of the 737-300 ended in 1999 after 1,113 units were built, making the -300 the most popular variant of the 737 Classic series. The 737-300 was subsequently replaced by the Boeing 737-700.
