The Comac C919-100 is a twin engine, medium range narrow-body airliner developed by the aircraft manufacturer Comac, a Chinese state-owned aerospace manufacturer headquartered at Pudong, Shanghai, China.
Launched in 2008 and introduced in 2023, the C919 is currently available in two passenger-configured variants: 1) a Basic version with 2235 nmi / 4139 km range; or 2) an Extended Range version with a range of 3011 nmi / 5576 km. Comac has also stated that shortened and stretch variants of the aircraft, covering a passenger seating range of 130 to 240 seats, will be put into production in future years. The company also plans to eventually offer a 2nd aircraft engine option, the indigenously built Aero Engine Corporation of China ACAE CJ-1000A, once the engine has completed its flight tests.
