Aircraft / Aria T42 Transonic
A JStream Exclusive Original Concept Aircraft
The Aria T42 Transonic is a narrow-body, short to medium range twin-engine jet airliner produced by Aria Aircraft Company, a commercial aircraft manufacturer headquartered in Denver, Colorado USA, and Dublin, Ireland.
The Aria T42 was designed as a 42 passenger regional style airliner. It was one of the four original clean-sheet aircraft initially developed and built by Aria Aircraft Company beginning in 2013 - the other three types were the Aria S152 Supersonic, the Aria S242 Supersonic, and the Aria T12 Transonic. A supersonic derivative, the Aria S42 Supersonic, was developed and tested in tandem with the Aria T42. Together, the T42 Transonic and S42 Supersonic became the first Aria aircraft to enter production on 9 September 2021.
Two stretched-fuselage variants were later developed from the T42: the 72 passenger Aria T72 Transonic, and the 102 passenger Aria T102 Transonic.
The Aria T42 is available as a passenger airliner, as well as in a quick-change combi configuration called the Aria T42qc Transonic QC Combi, and two business jet versions, namely the Aria T42b Transonic Bizjet and Aria T42bqc Transonic QC Combi Bizjet.

An extended range version, the Aria T42xr Transonic Extended Range, with a projected range of over 3100 nautical miles, is currently undergoing certification and expected to enter revenue service during H2 2025 or H1 2026. A dedicated freighter version, likely to be named the Aria T42f Freighter, is also being considered; if built, it will likely be derived from the Aria T42qc Combi.
